Karachi is a very vibrant town and the Sadiq family has always been very proud of their house— a house which is quiet and full of laughter and family dinners and long summer nights. But in recent times, the Sadiq couple had to confront an unseen foe - pests. Things began with the rare cockroach shuffling across the kitchen tiles, loading the pantry up with ants. And then there was something more alarming: termites have begun to devour their wooden items, the once solid cabinets, which once did not budge with a push, now too only a gentle poke would shatter them almost to fragments.
Mrs. Sadiq’s voice was quaking with fear when she told her husband, “We need help before it gets worse.”
Consequently, they resolved to contact Pest Control Karachi which is a popular service in those parts. The company is known for fumigation and management of an entire gamut of pest control services that included everything - from the root of termites to the head of cockroaches - at once.
The Arrival
The team of Pest Control Karachi reported to the Sadiq family on a hot Tuesday morning. Mr. Ahmed, a senior technician, led the team in determining the extent of damage caused. "We’ve got a substantial infestation to deal with," said Mr. Ahmed, seeing the signs of termites, ants, and cockroaches. “This is why fumigation will be the most effective means of dealing with these pests all at once.”
he process was explained to the team, ‘We will seal up the house, introduce the fumigants into the house, and then treat every inch of the house. The fumigants will be able to seep into cracks, seeping into crevices and more than walls where the pests loved to hide.’
The Process Begins
The Sadiq family was asked to leave their house for three days prior to starting. They took along necessary items, handed over the keys to the team and went to stay with their relatives for the time being. Window covers were the first step in the fumigation process as the team used them to seal all vents and windows to prevent gas from escaping.
Then there was the fumigant: for this part of the process, Mr. Ahmed said: ‘A specific concentration of vapor gas will be emitted’. The vapor gas dispersed throughout the house permeating into the tiniest spaces where the pests used as holts. Once again, Mr. Ahmed calmed the family and told them that they should not have any worries about the safety of these fumigants as they will become inert once the treatment settles.
The Wait
The family had restive anticipation throughout the period. The kids were laughing that their home will be “pest free” in some time but the concern was always there for Mrs. Sadiq, who was not sure whether this process would actually work or not. Mr. Sadiq on the other hand, was absolutely confident about Pest Control Karachi’s credibility.
On the third day, they got a call. “The fumigation has been done; we are now opening the windows to allow for ventilation of the house. You can return tomorrow.” Mr. Ahmed told them.
When they came back home, the atmosphere of alien settlement was save, and not a single fly was visible. The stairs, nooks and the kitchen which once had pest populations, were clean now. The team guided the family about the inspection to be conducted after fumigation. “Not just the termites were fed the fumigation, the roaches and ants were wiped out as well,” Mr Ahmed said, while moving across the premises and explaining the gory details of how the fumigant acted on the hardest of the spots.
Most importantly, the team from Pest Control service assisted Sadiqs with recommendations and suggestions on how to avoid receiving infestations again- frequent hygienic practices, caulking the gaps for the possible vermin entry, and having frequent check-ups.
A Happy Ending The Sadiq family came out in support of such drastic changes and the effect was visibly shocking to them. Their house was finally theirs for it was free of any nuisances and the pressure that comes with it. “Thank you, Mr Ahmed and your team,” Mrs Sadiq said with great humility and gratitude. “We thank you for your patience and hard work, now we can start to appreciate our home.”
And so it was, with the pests gone and their breath back, the Sadiq family could say thank you to pest management Company Pakistan with the assurance that they would call on them again if such tiny nuisances were to become troublesome again.
The end.
